Itinerary:

Day 01 USA - Beijing
Embark on our China vacation by boarding an international flight bound for Beijing. Spend the night aboard as we fly across the International Date Line.

Day 02 Arrive Beijing
Arrive at China's capital, Beijing in the evening. We are transferred to the hotel and check-in.

Day 03 Beijing
Our Beijing tour starts with Tiananmen Square, the world¡¦s largest public square. Proceed to Forbidden City, and next roll over to Summer Palace. Enjoy local cuisine and take in a Chinese Opera tonight. (AB,L,DS)

Day 04 Beijing
Built to protect its people from northern marauders, the Great Wall snakes its way thousands of miles across Northern China and is one of the few objects on the earth visible even from the moon. This morning we spend time walking atop this man made wonder of the world, descending to visit the Ming Tomb Museum. For dinner tonight, we indulge our plates with the famed Peking Duck Dinner Banquet tonight. (AB,L,DP)

Day 05 Beijing - Shanghai
Visit the Temple of Heaven in the morning and fly to Shanghai in the afternoon. Upon arrival, we visit Jade Buddha Temple and Nanjing Road. Tonight let us enjoy the Chinese Acrobatics Show. (AB,L,DS)

Day 06 Shanghai - Suzhou - Shanghai
We proceed to Suzhou in the morning. City tour explores Humble Administrator's Garden, Tiger Hills and Hanshan Temple. Travel back to Shanghai. (AB, L, D)

Day 07 Shanghai - Xian
In the morning continue our Shanghai city tour with visits to Yu Garden and the Bund. Depart for Xian by air. As the cradle of ancient Chinese civilization, Xian served as the capital city for 11 dynasties until the 9th century. Upon arrival at Xian, we start brief city tour to the Bell Tower and the City Wall. Imperial Dumpling Banquet is served for dinner tonight. (AB,L,DP)

Day 08 Xian
Visit the Terra-Cotta Warriors, Hua Qin Hot Springs, Banpo Village Museum. Tonight we watch a stage opera of the Tang Dynasty after we are served the local hot pot cuisine for dinner. (AB, L, DS)

Day 09 Xian - Guilin
After breakfast, we visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. In the afternoon we fly to Guilin. Karst limestone formations imbue Guilin landscape with a mystical quality. We explore the Reed Flute Cave where fantastic stalactite and stalagmite formations impress us as magical and otherworldly. Elephant Trunk Hill is also visited. (AB, L, DH)

Day 10 Guilin
A meandering river cruise down the Li River is a delightful way to savor the serene, fairy-tale scenery of Southern China. We may even catch the fascinating sight of fishermen fishing with cormorant birds! Enjoy lunch aboard the ship. Tonight we are treated to a dinner show of China's minority folklore dance. Day 11 Guilin - Guangzhou - Hong Kong
We board a flight bound for Guangzhou after breakfast. Guangzhou city tour shows us Chen Family Temple, the 72 Martyrs Mausoleum and Liurong Temple. We take an express train to Hong Kong later in the evening. If time permits, we may have a chance to take an optional tour up to Victoria Peak for a panoramic view of Hong Kong Island and the harbor. Day 12 Hong Kong - USA
Bid Hong Kong a fond farewell as we board our homebound international flight. Re-cross the International Date Line and arrive back in the US. (AB)
