Itinerary:

Day 01 USA - Beijing
We depart for Beijing aboard an international flight. Spend the night on the airplane and cross the International Date Line.

Day 02 Arrive Beijing
Upon our arrival at Beijing in the evening, we are met and transferred to the hotel for a well-deserved rest in five-star luxury.

Day 03 Beijing
Our city tour of Beijing takes us to Yuanming Garden and Yongho Palace. The famous Peking Roast Duck will be provided for dinner tonight. (AB, L, DP)

Day 04 Beijing - Urumqi
Our Beijing city tour continues with visits to the amazing Beihai Park and the Confucius Temple. Leaving the comforts and the crowding of Beijing, we travel by air to a far-removed world of the Silk Road. We arrive at Urumuqi, the capital of the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region, in the afternoon. (AB, L, DH)

Day 05 Urumqi - Turpan
We take a motor coach to Turpan. Our full day excursion includes visits to Daben City, Gaochang Old City, Astana Ancient Tombs, Flaming Mountains. Enjoy a minority dance show in the evening. (CB, L, DS)

Day 06 Turpan
Turpan is best known for its grapes and honeydew melons, but is also rich in historical links to the Silk Road. Today¡¦s excursion takes us to Grape Valley, Jiaohe Old Cities, Kizil Grottoes. (CB,L,D)

Day 07 Turpan - Urumqi
We return to Urumqi today. First, take a cruise on Heavenly Lake, and visit the City Museum, Redhill Park, and the Bazaar after. A roast lamb dinner banquet will be served tonight. (CB, L, DP)

Day 08 Urumqi - Dunhuang
We board a morning flight bound for Dunhuang, one of China's most historic cities that served as a rest stop for traders and as the gateway through which Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity entered China. Our city tour includes visits to the Singing Hill, Moon Lake, Municipal Museum, and the Movie Studio. Enjoy a dinner show in the evening. (CB, L, DS)

Day 09 Dunhuang
We have a full day excursion to Mogao Grottoes, known as "The World Art Treasure House". The cave is the largest, most well preserved treasure house of arts in the world and is listed as one of the World Cultural Heritages. (CB, L, DH)

Day 10 Dunhuang - Jiayuguang - Lanzhou
Morning visit to Jiayuguang, the western terminus of the Great Wall, built more than 600 years ago. In the afternoon, we take a flight bound for Lanzhou. (*If air service is not available, an overnight train will be used.) (CB, L, D)

Day 11 Lanzhou
Enjoy full day boat excursion to Liu Jia Xia Dam, Bin Ling Temple, and Lanzhou Museum. (CB, L, D)

Day 12 Lanzhou - Xian
Morning tour takes us to the White Pagoda Mountain and Five Spring Mountain Park. After lunch fly to Xian. Upon arrival, we visit the Ancient City Wall, the Bell Tower and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Tonight we enjoy an Imperial Dumpling Banquet for dinner. (CB, L, DP)

Day 13 Xian
Visit the famous Terra-Cotta Warriors of Qinshihuang, Huaqing Hot Spring, and the Banpo Museum. Enjoy a Stage Show of Tang Dynasty tonight. (AB, L, DS)

Day 14 Xian - Shanghai
After breakfast fly to Shanghai. City tour takes us to Yu Garden and Jade Buddha Temple. After dinner, we are entertained by an exciting Acrobatics Show. (AB, L, DS)

Day 15 Shanghai
Today is free at leisure, doing some last minute shopping or walking the streets. (AB)

Day 16 Shanghai - USA
Bid China a fond farewell as we board our homebound international flight. Re-cross the International Date Line and arrive back in the USA on the same day. (AB)
