Itinerary:
Day
01 USA - Guangzhou
Tonight
our flight departs from the USA bound for China. Cross
the international date line.
Day
02 Enroute
Due to time difference and travel time, the day is spent
on board our airliner. Overnight on board.
Day
03 Arrive Guangzhou
Our flight arrives at Guanghzou where we clear customs,
then transfer to our five star accommodations (Check
in may be delayed until the afternoon depending on the
hotel). Sight seeing today includes visits to the Liurong
Temple, Chen Family Temple, and the 72 Martyrs Mausoleum
at Huanghuagang. For dinner tonight, enjoy the world
famous local cuisine, roasted pig. (L,DP)

04 Guangzhou - Kunming
Morning flight to Kunming, one of the most modern cities
in Southwestern China. Kunming holds distinction as
having the best year-round weather in all of China.
It is known as the "Spring City." Upon arrival
we take a half-day city tour, then retire to our hotel
for the rest of the day. (AB, L, DH)

05 Kunming - Dali
Early morning transfer takes us to the airport to board
a short flight to Dali, home of the Bai Minority Group.
Take an excursion to Butterfly Mountain followed by
a cruise of Erhai Lake. Get first hand experience of
local daily life as we visit a Bai Minority Village,
tasting famous "Three Courses Tea." On the
way back into town, we stop at the famous "Three
Elegant Pagodas," an outstanding landmark of the

06 Dali - Lijiang
This morning we journey by bus to Lijiang, the cultural
center of the Naxi Minority. Lijiang has beautiful landscapes
and has been designated by the UN as a World Cultural
Heritage Site. Gaze in wonder at the sights and sounds
of this ancient city as you walk down the cobblestone
streets preserved for over 700 years.We see that the
Naxi way of life has changed very little over time.
A short bus ride away is Black Dragon Pond, where we
take a leisurely stroll around the pristine surroundings.
We are entertained by the ancient Naxi music after our
dinner at hotel tonight. (AB,L,DS)
Day
07 Lijiang
The highlight of the day must be Jade Dragon Mountain,
the mythical mountain worshipped by the Naxi people.
The bus drops us off at the base where we board chair
lifts to access higher regions that afford a beautiful
view of the famed Thirteen Peaks. Our rest stop on the
way to Jade Dragon Mountain is Baisha Village, the ancient
capital of the Naxi Kingdom. Enjoy the famous local
cuisine for dinner tonight. (AB,L,DP)

08 Lijiang - Shangrila
Embark early morning on the arduous motor coach ride
to the famed Shangrila. At the midway point of the journey
we stop at Tiger Leaping Gorge, descending over 200
steps to get the best possible view. Shangrila is home
to the Tibetan Minority Group. Upon arrival at Shangrila,
we enjoy lamb dinner with a Tibetan family, being careful
to observe the local customs and traditions which often
including singing and dancing! (AB,L,DP)

09 Shangrila
Rise early in the morning as we venture to Songzan Temple,
the largest Lhamasery existing outside of Tibet. Journey
later by motor coach to Napahai, a beautiful scenic
spot that typifies how Shangrila blends harmoniously
with nature, worshipped by theTibetan Minorities as
a deity. After visiting Suodu Lake, we return back to
enjoy dinner at our hotel. (AB, L, DH)

10 Shangrila - Kunming
Board the flight bound back to Kunming. Upon arrival,
we start a half-day sightseeing tour to Dienqi. (AB,L,D)

11 Kunming
Today we visit the Stone Forest, marveling at the natural
stone ¡§trees.¡¨ Created by ancient
winds and water erosion over millions of years, the
Stone Forest is a remarkable region of limestone cliffs
and peaks. In the evening we¡¦re in for
a special treat of Yunnan Specialties followed by an
exciting Minority Cultural Show. (AB,L,DS)

11 Kunming - Guangzhou - USA
Depart Kunming and head towards back to U.S.A. (AB)
